Today, 12/2/2022 is day one of bringing my personal ministry out into the public space.
This is in hope of being able to do more than I've been able to do "out of pocket".
It is free to preach, a thing I don't do in the way most think of preaching, but to be able to help more with real world things is not so free.
One thing I hear about from other homeless persons is a need for a simple bus pass. There are a number of local places that have those, but they run out quick. There are "tokens" that can be got but you have to run around to get those and if you can run around then you already are able to get a bus. This is where I want to come in with a "day pass". A pass that is good for the day and as many rides as is needed.
This is just a starting point that I know I can do. I bitch about a lot of the failings of the system, this is something I can do to be more proactive in getting help to people. Preaching and teaching are good things but if basic needs are not being filled then it's just "Nice Dreams"
My hope is to provide services that the system, we now have, does not. Filling a gap in the needs of people. Over time, get into things on a larger scale as I am able. To get into offers of clothing and help with rents, power bills and such that everyone needs help with sometimes.
The first thing is a budget...
